While in Amsterdam I went on a tour of the Royal Palace in Dam Square. In one of the rooms is a platinum chandelier. If I remember correctly, it's from the 18th century, but they only knew of it's existence in 2008 when they came across it during the restoration of the building, it was in an attic.
