Spring Skies, British Museum, Bloomsbury

Churchill War Rooms, Whitehall, London

Left untouched from the day the war was won, the Churchill War Rooms are far and away my favorite museum in London. Filled with personal stories, and all original artifacts you are given a true sense of what London would have been like during the war.

Greenwich Mean Time

I visited Greenwich a week ago today, took the tourist boat from Westminster. It was a beautiful sunny day, and since Day Light Savings time has occurred in the States, but not in England yet I thought it abt to share. Note: I have absolutely no idea why England is off by one week from America with the whole spring forward thing.

RAC, Pall Mall

It wasn't until my brother was in town that one of my housemates suggested that we go to the Royal Automobile Club for dinner and some drinks. I hadn't known that he was a member until then and we had a lovely evening that felt like a world (or three) away from Camberwell.

First Day of Spring, Hyde Park & Knightsbridge

My brother was visiting from Seattle and it was the first beautiful day that we had had since October at least. We walked through Hyde Park, had a cuppa tea (it is England), and rented boats to cruise around the Serpentine. From there we walked through Knightsbridge gawking at cars and ended up at the Grenadier for a pub lunch.

New Job, Stockwell

Finally, after eight months of being in England, I have a job! It's not what I thought that I would be doing, I had imagined myself moving to London and starting a career. Instead, I will be watching two hip little Londoners two days a week. This amazing pirate ship is in Larkhall Park, and I plan on spending my entire summer here.
